TUESDAY, October 20

6:00pm – 8:00pm: Opening Night Media Launch Event

Exclusive Media & VIP launch event for BoHo Bodega’s opening, including NYC’s first urban opera, recycled couture headpieces from designer Hayley McCulloch, Body & Soul DJ Andi Hanley, gift bag giveaways for attendees and eco-friendly food and drinks.

Join Bob & Steve as they chat about how and why they started the company, the thrills and spills they encountered along the way, all the little stories they were supposed to keep secret and where they see their future. If you’re really nice to them, they’ll even hang around for a Q&A and spill even more beans!

5:30pm – 6:30pm: Is This Bad For Me??!! Presented by Learn It, Grow It, Eat It (CENYC)

Are you OD-ing on sugar? Drowning in salt? What are Trans-Fats anyway? Give us 30 minutes and we'll show you how to get all this info and more by learning how to de-code food labels.

Join Alison, the founder of 18 Rabbits, and Zack who’ll be sharing samples of their tasty 18 Rabbits granola bars. They’ll be in BoHo talking to people about how the company started up and how each of their bars are made. If you get lucky, Alison will also tell you how crazy it was growing up with 18 real pet rabbits!

2:30pm – 3:30pm: Eco-Friendly Home Gardening presented by the Open Space Greening Program (CENYC)

There are many alternatives to nasty chemicals when treating your indoor houseplants. Learn about the various biological, cultural and natural controls you can use to keep those critters and pests away from your favorite African violets and kitchen windowsill herb garden.

CENYC's Greenmarket program is the leading farmers' market program in the United States, operating 49 farmers' markets in New York City's five boroughs. Join Greenmarket staff and farmers as they demonstrate the joys of eating seasonally during harvest time while describing the environmental benefits of supporting local farmers and sustainable agriculture.

Summer was a bit of a washout in New York this year and so we feel it’s only right to bring a little sunshine into your life with a refreshing cocktail courtesy of Vita Coco and Leblon Cachaca. Plus, we’ll have a live Brazilian music jam in Boho. Get down.

4:30pm – 5:30pm: Rev Up Your Recycling presented by the Office of Recycling Outreach & Education (CENYC)

Find out all that can be recycled at the curbside and beyond and learn how to turn your food scraps into beneficial compost for gardens and houseplants.

8:00pm – 10:00pm: “Samba Roots” CD Compilation Official US Album Launch hosted by Sambazon

Come party as the Brasilians do! Live DJs spinning music all night. Eco-friendly cocktails compliments of Sambazon and Veev Acai Spirit.

SATURDAY, October 24

Fun seasonal festivities for folks and their families, plus free treats for kids in costume. Hey, we said kids. Don’t push your luck!

For comfort on a brisk autumn evening, don’t miss a swinging night of Dixieland Jazz by the Silver Dollar Horns, while sipping Simply Organic mulled cider and munching on Simply Organic gluten-free ginger cookies.
